Prof. Dr.
Arshad Hasan
Operative Dentist & Endodontist
BDS 1998 · FCPS 2006 · PhD, Operative Dentistry, 2023
Professor & Head of Operative Dentistry, Dow University of Health Sciences
Principal of Dow Dental College, 2016 to 2024
In clinical practice since 1999, and Principal of Dow Dental College from 2016 to 2024. Forty-eight peer-reviewed papers, eight of them as lead author. Among dentists I am known for retrieving separated files; among patients, in their own words, for soft hands and painless dentistry.
About the doctor
“I chose endodontics and restorative dentistry because I was always creative with my hands. As a kid I used to make aeroplanes out of plywood just by looking at the pictures, without any instructions. This is a hobby I continue to this day, although with much more discipline.”
“I feel I can give the patients instantaneous results, by either relieving their pain or giving them a great smile, whatever the case may be.”
I was trained during residency by Prof. Tasleem Hosein and Prof. Saqib Rasheed, and my 2008 paper on drill-free caries removal — from my FCPS thesis — was written with Prof. Hosein.

Bring me the X-ray. Very often such teeth can be saved.
